Multiple awards at RoboCup Japan Open 2023

 Our Laboratory members received several awards at the RoboCup Japan Open 2023, which was held at the Shiga Daihatsu Arena from 3-7 May 2023.

The awards at this competition were:

・2nd place in RoboCup Japan Open 2023 @Home Domestic Standard Platform League Open Challenge

 OIT-RITS, joint team of Osaka Institute of Technology and Emergent Systems Lab: Demonstration of  “Action planning using large-scale language models based on knowledge acquired in the field environment”.

RoboCup Research Award

Robotics Society of Japan Award
 Research Associate Professor Yoshinobu Hagiwara’s co-authored book “Introduction to AI Robots: Making and Learning with ROS2 and Python” (Publisher: Kodansha, Authors: Kosei Demura, Yoshinobu Hagiwara, Yasuhiro Masutani, Too Chuan Jeffrey TAN)

*The demonstration and the international conference paper were researched and developed as part of the R-GIRO project and JST Moonshot Goal 1: “Realization of a society in which human beings can be free from limitations of body, brain, space, and time by 2050”.
*Shoichi Hasegawa, in charge of the demonstration presentation, is a second-term student of the NEXT Fellowship Programme at Ritsumeikan University.
